One of the most common questions we hear is, "How much will it cost?" While we’d love to provide a quick answer, the cost of your project depends on several factors.

Factors Influencing the Price:

  • Pattern or Design: The complexity of the design, such as manual scoring or intricate patterns, can affect the price.
  • Customization: The number of stains, hand-staining techniques, or other customizations will impact the cost.
  • Project Size: The total area to be covered plays a significant role in determining the final cost.
  • Additional Services: Alterations, repairs, or additional requests may also influence pricing.

The concrete we use typically has a strength of 3,000 to 5,000 PSI, depending on the project requirements. This ensures durability and longevity for your driveway or hardscape.

What is PSI?
PSI stands for Pounds per Square Inch and is a measure of the compressive strength of concrete. It indicates how much pressure the concrete can withstand before cracking or failing. Higher PSI values mean stronger and more durable concrete, making it ideal for high-traffic areas like driveways and patios.

Driveways and Home Walkways: Concrete is poured at a standard thickness of 4 inches.

Sidewalks in Front of Aprons: Concrete is poured at a thickness of 6 inches to ensure durability.

Aprons/Approach: Concrete is poured at a thickness of 6 inches to handle higher loads and traffic.

Fiber mesh is a reinforcement material made from fibrous components such as synthetic fibers, glass fibers, natural fibers, or steel fibers. It is commonly used in concrete for sidewalks, patios, and driveways.

Unlike traditional wire mesh, which is laid down before the concrete pour, fiber mesh is mixed directly into the wet concrete, ensuring even distribution throughout the slab.

Benefits of Fiber Mesh:

  • Reduces Water Loss: Helps control water evaporation during curing, minimizing shrinkage cracks.
  • Enhanced Structural Integrity: Reinforces the entire concrete surface, providing multidimensional support.
  • Increased Durability: Improves impact resistance, reduces thaw damage, and boosts overall strength.
  • All-Around Support: Unlike wire mesh, which offers a single layer of reinforcement, fiber mesh strengthens the concrete throughout its entire volume, providing better reinforcement and durability than traditional wire mesh.

Fiber mesh is a modern, more effective alternative to traditional wire mesh for concrete reinforcement.

If the concrete will be sealed without color pigmentation, we need to wait 30 days after pouring to ensure proper curing and prevent the sealer from lifting.

If any PVC pipes are damaged during the leveling of the ground with a bobcat, Epic Driveway is not responsible for the repair of the pipe. However, as a courtesy, Epic Driveway will replace the damaged PVC pipe free of labor charges if we determine we can assist. The customer will be responsible for purchasing all necessary materials for the repair.

Please note that during the process of installing your new concrete driveway or hardscape, damage to the lawn, landscaping, or sprinkler system may occur as part of the construction process. Epic Driveway is not responsible for the replacement or repair of landscaping or sprinkler systems.

We recommend hiring a professional landscaping service to address any sprinkler or landscaping issues that may arise during the project. If you have specific concerns, feel free to discuss them with us before we begin. Your satisfaction and understanding are important to us!

At Epic Driveway, we guarantee excellent service and the highest quality workmanship for your project. However, it's important to note that we do not offer a warranty against concrete cracking. Cracks are a natural part of the curing process as the concrete shrinks while excess water evaporates.

To minimize cracking, we take preventive measures, such as adding fiber reinforcement to the concrete mix. While these efforts help reduce the likelihood of cracks, some small cracks may still appear and are a normal part of concrete curing.

Your satisfaction is our priority, and we strive to deliver a durable and visually appealing result every time.

Yes, in most cases, a permit is required to construct or replace a driveway, especially if it connects to a public road or sidewalk. Permit requirements vary based on local regulations in your area.

In Miami, FL, permits are often necessary to ensure the driveway meets building codes and safety standards. These include considerations such as dimensions, materials, drainage, and proximity to utilities.

Can I Pull the Permit Myself?
Absolutely! Pulling the permit yourself is often a more cost-effective option. At Epic Driveway, we’re happy to guide you through the process to make it easier and ensure everything is handled correctly.
